Codes and Convention

What are codes?
Codes are signs in which we group with Genres. Codes are also used to amerce the audience in the movie. Codes assist the identification of a film.

What are Conventions?
Conventions are rules in which you must obey to when making a film, this identifies the genre of the film. For example in Super heroes movies “hero beats villain and saves love interest”, this is a typical Superhero film. The Convention may also set the story of the film.

Ingredients to use good codes and convention
·        Title of the film

·        Details of crew and cast

·        Film setting

·        Enigmas

·        Specific Genre

·        Theme tune

FEED BACK

With the feed back we decided to re edit our sequence to some of the comments, by changing the font to something more appropriate to the genre and also edit the sound effects of the crows because they came across as repetitive.

Certification

Certification

The certification of our film  will be a 15 as it contains emotionally  disturbing scenes, strong language, violence, mild nudity and psychological scenes. The rules state that the 15 certificate my not be viewed by anyone under that age may view its.
As our film is a spy/thriller, our film will contain disturbing, sexual scenes or be  cryptical,  if the violences or sex was very violent it would have to certificated as an 18.
