Interview of Danny Yount

Six Feet Under
Six feet under is one of Danny Yount’s most famous title sequences. The title sequence starts with a shot of the sky with calm classical music accompanying it a crow fly’s across the screen, this could resemble death. The next shot is of a meadow and a close up of a couple holding hands, an unknown force pulls the two hands away from each other, and this also could resemble death. The next shot is off an extreme close up of hands being washed, then it cuts two a pair of feet with a tag hanging of his big toe, this sets the story now, this program is involved around death. The rest of the sequence appears to be an autopsy or an perpetration for a funeral, the last shot is of the meadow again but all what can be seen is the oak tree in the meadow all else around is white, then it fades.
