Part 5: How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Part 5:  How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Camera, angles, shot movement and position
The opening of our title sequence shows a skyline of London through vast set of trees from a extreme long shot. This makes the audience focus on that its set in England London, the English audience would more likely go to see this instead of Americans. This beautiful skyline of London was cloudy and trees are in front of it , this represents danger it also make you feel like you’re being watched, this could make the audience feel a bit nervous.

Editing
The editing throughout was fluid and fast, this should fill the audience with adrenalin and tension. The best piece for this is mean Hearthome spots Dark shadow running across the path through trees in front of him. This should really make the audience feel uncomfortable and nervous as Dark Shadow doesn’t look friendly. We tried to get a mixture of Long and mid shots throughout to give the audience a certain feel about it.

Sound
The sound throughout was very effective as the soundtrack has an adrenalin pumped feel to it, which should get the audience of the edge of their seat. The crows also have a very powerful effect on the audience, they mean danger and death which should in a way creep the audience out and make them jump when they start squawking at the start.

Mis-en-Scene
The mis-en-scene is suppose to have a very strong effect on the audience throughout the sequence as it is filled with many subtle types such as enigma codes, they should keep the audiences minds ticking and questioning them. The costumes of the Pro & Antagonist are very similar to make the audience question who’s good and who’s bad. The dark setting of the woods should make the audience question in there heads is something bad going to happen.
